  • Enabling Third-Party Cookies

    This document provides instructions on how to enable third-party cookies when using YuJa. Enabling third-party cookies will prevent any potential login issues when trying to access your YuJa account. If third-party cookies are not enabled, users may be unable to login to the YuJa Enterprise Video Platform through their LMS. Below, we have included steps to perform in Chrome, Firefox, and Internet Explorer.

    Enabling Cookies for Chrome

    The following workflow will allow you to enable cookies using the Chrome browser.

    • Open Chrome.
    • On Chrome for desktops, click the three dots in the upper-right corner, then click Settings.
    • Scroll to the bottom of the settings and click Advanced at the bottom of the settings screen.
    • On the advanced settings screen, click Content settings under the Privacy tab.
    • Under Cookies, click ADD under allowed sites to be added.
    • Type in the YuJa tool provider in the format of https://<YourInstitution>.yuja.com. 

    Enabling Cookies in Firefox

    The following workflow provides the steps needed to enable cookies in the Firefox browser.

    • Click on the three horizontal lines in the upper-right corner, then click Options.
    • Select Privacy.
    • Under History, select Firefox will: to Use custom settings for history.
    • From the expanded list under History, make sure the drop down next to Accept third-party cookies is marked Never.
    • Then, click on the Exceptions… button on the right.
    • Under Address of Website, type in the YuJa tool provider in the format of https://<YourInstitution>.yuja.com. Then click on Allow.
    • Click on Save Changes.

    Enabling Cookies in Internet Explorer

    Use the following workflow to enable cookies on Internet Explorer.

    • Select the gear in the upper-right corner of the screen, then select Internet Options.
    • In the Internet Options popup window, select Privacy.
    • Click on the Sites button to allow YuJa to use cookies.
    • Under Address of Website, type in the YuJa tool provider in the format of https://<YourInstitution>.yuja.com. Then click on Allow.
    • To complete, click on OK.

    Enabling Cookies in Safari

    The following workflow will allow you to enable cookies in Safari on your Mac.

    • Open the Safari browser. Click on the menu in the top left and choose Preferences.
    • Select Privacy.
    • Uncheck the box labeled Block All Cookies. 
    • Close the Preferences window and log into the YuJa Enterprise Video Platform through your LMS.
    • On some versions of Safari, you may also need to uncheck the box labeled Prevent cross-site tracking.
